Established in 1978, Hulbert Outdoor Center is a non-profit educational institution that serves 7,000 participants annually through programs designed to foster personal growth, self-reliance, confidence, cooperation, and a sense of community in people of all ages. Hulbert Outdoor Center offers a variety of programs throughout the year, including:
Celebrate, Don't Hibernate!
Beat cabin fever and get out with your friends and family for WinterFest at the Hulbert Outdoor Center! There will be Nordic skating, snowshoe hikes, cross country skiing, winter travel skills, sledding, old fashioned ice cutting, igloo/quinzee building, music, winter skills, dog sledding demos and more. School Programs– one- to five-day educational experiences for public and private school groups.

Homeschool Programs – week-long programs for youth ages 9-17 who are homeschooled.
Adult & Family Wilderness Trips– canoe, backcountry ski and snowshoe trips.
Family Programs – winter and summer family camps, canoe trips, and family weekends.
Leadership Training, Certifications & Workshops– Wilderness Medicine, Trip Leadership Training, ACA Canoe Certifications, Success Counseling, and more.
Elderhostel - educational adventures offered by Elderhostel and hosted at Hulbert for adults aged 55 and up.
Facility Rentals/Conferences – scenic places to hold reunions, retreats, group meetings, workshops.
Team Development– professional development opportunities for management teams.
Public Events & Partnerships – working together with community organizations.
Green Initiatives– working to create a more sustainable environment.
