Appalachian Trail Day Hikes

Hulbert Outdoor Center Vermont Appalachian Trail ExploritasAugust 29 to September 3, 2010

Grab your favorite boots, your day pack, and set out for the Appalachian Trail amid the beautiful hues of late summer in New England. Daily small group hikes help you learn about this famous trail that runs more than 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine -- affectionately known as America’s narrowest national park. We hike along selected sections in Vermont and New Hampshire, exploring the dynamic history, lore, and culture surrounding this most famous of trails, while enjoying its wild beauty. Experienced hikers teach sound hiking practices, safety tips, and love of the wild. Evening programs on the human and natural history of Northern New England enhance our appreciation of this very special part of the country.
