Aloha Girls Camp Vermont dance

Drama & Dance

Play a part in the big summer musical, a talent show or tent unit skit. Plan a special entertainment night, complete with fanciful, camp-made costumes. Aloha specializes in home grown theatrical fun. Dance by the lake just for fun, or create a whole performance – it’s up to you. At Aloha, girls rock! And plié! And tap! And do-si-do! Campers who love to perform find many ways to share their talents before the footlights. Those who prefer producing roles have plenty to do too, behind the scenes.

Camp just wouldn't be camp without the wonderful camaraderie and individual expression the creative arts bring to the community. At meals, on a mountain trail, around a campfire – we’re always singing at camp! Music brings us together joyfully to celebrate our spirit, and sing each other’s praises.  Think you can’t sing? Don’t be shy – you’ll find your voice in no time, like thousands of Aloha campers before you.  Many campers and counselors bring their instruments to camp, to play for themselves, for their tent mates, and sometimes everyone.

For many Aloha campers, the Arts and Crafts studio is the place to be, well, arts-y and crafts-y – in ceramics, drawing, painting, copper enameling, weaving, woodworking, basketry, papier-mâché, sculpture, stage set design and more. The possibilities are endless and the creative enthusiasm high.  Photographers both novice and experienced capture nature and camp scenes in pictures that sometimes surface in slideshows the whole community enjoys.
