1. How does the reservations process work?
We accept reservations on a first-come basis; we recommend that you make them well in advance to be assured of your preferred cabin and dates.
We require a 25% Deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due May 15, 2008.
Deposits are non refundable except in the case of illness.Guests who cancel one month or more prior to their expected arrival will be responsible for 50% of the total fee if the resulting vacancy is not filled.Guests who cancel two weeks or less prior to their expected arrival will be responsible for 100% of the total fee if the resulting vacancy is not filled.
Rates are not pro-rated for late arrival or early departure.
You may register on line with a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or by printing off the available Reservation Form in pdf format.We also accept phone reservations.
2. How do I pay my bill?
You will receive a confirmation packet and final invoice by May 1st.Checks made payable to the Aloha Foundation should be mailed to 2968 Lake Morey Road, Fairlee, VT 05045.We also accept Visa or Mastercard.
3. Can I bring my cell phone with me?
There is no cell phone service at the camp.You can receive a signal about 3 miles to the north of camp.Electronic devices such as cell phones, ipods and electronic games are strongly discouraged and are not to be used in the Main House, on the waterfront, or on the trails. We strive to have Camp be a natural and simple environment where our interactions are more personal than electronic.We request therefore that you keep your electronic devices out of sight and sound of other campers.
4. What's the best time for me to arrive on a busy Saturday?
Arriving guests should not enter their accommodation before registering at the office. To allow staff enough time to properly clean lodging facilities, check in time is strictly after 3 p.m. and check out is strictly no later than 10 a.m.
5. Do you have a telephone in case of an emergency?
Yes, there is a phone in the Main Office.It is available 24 hours a day.Please feel free to give out our telephone number for incoming emergency messages, and they will be immediately delivered. Non-emergency messages will be posted at the office.The phone number is:802-333-3460.
6. How do I receive Mail?
Personal mail should be addressedto:

Mail is delivered to the camp each day and we will deliver to your cabin.
7. Will I be able to access my E-mail?
Yes. We have one computer with an attached printer set aside in our office for guest e-mail access.
8. Can I bring my lap top with me?
Yes. Although, we do not have wireless internet access available on-site.
9. Do we need to bring bed linens?
Sheets, blankets, pillows and 2 towels per person are provided. We recommend you bring beach towels.
10. Do I need to bring any food with me?
We provide meals everyday during our Summer Camp Season. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM, Dinner is served at 6:00 PM and a Trail Lunch is available for you to pack your own mid day meal. Your cabin is equipped with a refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and stove. You may wish to bring drinks and snacks.
11. What clothing and personal items do you recommend we bring?

12. Do you have an alcohol policy?
We find that a number of our guests prefer to limit their exposure to alcohol. As we work hard to create an environment where everyone is comfortable, we ask that alcohol be limited to individual cabins.
13. I'd like to bring my boat with me. Is that ok?
Yes , by prior approval. Please call to make arrangements.
14. Do you allow dogs?
Pets cannot be accommodated. Sorry!
15. Are lifeguards on duty at the waterfront?
No. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at the waterfront and elsewhere. One of our staff is often assigned to the waterfront to ensure safe operation of camp boats (kayaks, sailboats, and canoes).
16. Are the cabins heated?
No, our cabins are not heated and they are not insulated.Each Cabin does have a working fireplace to take the chill out of those spring and fall evenings. The dining hall is heated.
17. Where do I get firewood?
We supply your cabin with firewood.The wood will be delivered to your cabin during the week. You are also welcome to help yourself from our wood shed
18. Does the cabin have an outside grill or BBQ?
Yes.
19. Are there picnic tables?
Yes.
20. Is there a store nearby?
We have a small camp store located in the Office. It carries items that you might need during your stay; flashlights, batteries, insect repellent, sunscreen etc.Baker’s Store is located in Post Mills( ~2 miles) and carries the newspaper, assorted groceries and gas.
21. Where is the closest Laundromat?
There is a Laundromat in Fairlee, VT approximately5miles from camp.
22. Can I buy a fishing license nearby?
Baker’s General Store in Post Mills ( ~ 2 miles) sells licenses and bait.Fees are listed in the Vermont Digest of Fishing Laws that you will receive when purchasing license.Children 15 and under do not need a license.
23. Are there handicap accessible accommodations?
Yes. There is ramp access to the Main House / Dining Hall, and cabin17 is ADA accessible. If you have any specific questions regarding access issues, please contact us.
24. Are visitor and overnight guests allowed in cabins?
Yes. Visitors and overnight guests are required to register and pay a fee. Only up to the maximum occupancy allowed in each cabin.
25. May I invite a guest for dinner on one of the days during my stay?
Limited space is available for guests at meals. You should contact us well in advance of your guests' visit. You will be charged for their meal.
26. I am a vegetarian or I have dietary restrictions. Do I need to make any advance arrangements?
Vegetarian selections are available at each meal.If you have a very particular dietary need, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate you. We suggest that if you have a very restricted diet that you might like to bring along your own supplements.
27. Where is the nearest hospital?
Our staff are trained in some degree of emergency assistance.Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH., (about 25 minutes away) is one of the top teaching hospitals in the US. They have a walk-in clinic for the small incidents.
