A Director's Welcome

The Hulbert Outdoor Center has been offering wilderness trips and outdoor adventures for people of all ages and families since 1978.  Voyageurs Youth Trips is committed to providing fun, educational adventures for campers of all experience levels.  We design each trip with your child's safety as our #1 priority.  Every Voyageurs trip balances adventure and challenge with the opportunity for each person to discover and explore the natural world through which we travel.  Daily routines and responsibilities are established to develop self-reliance and group ownership as well as facilitate leadership development. 

I would encourage everyone deciding on a summer camp for their child to contact the camp director.  Gather as much information about the program's philosophy and objectives, risk management policies, safety record, trip leader qualifications and trip itineraries. Talk with a parent reference.  Find a camp that offers a program that aligns with the values and expectations you have for your child.
