The Aloha Foundation provides full and partial tuition aid to families who require financial assistance to meet the cost of a 7-week or 3½-week enrollment for a child at Aloha, Aloha Hive and Lanakila; a 2-, 4- or 6-week enrollment at Horizons; or a Voyageurs wilderness adventure.
“Campership” support is extended to families who demonstrate financial need based on income and asset information submitted in conjunction with a request for tuition assistance. In addition, a camper who receives aid should meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Enhance the social diversity of the camp community, and/or
2. Increase the population of campers from local towns and Vermont/New Hampshire, and/or
3. Extend the camp participation of an alumni family.
Application Procedures
Requests for campership support are submitted in conjunction with camper registrations, accompanied by a reduced registration fee of $300 unless the fee is waived by the Executive Director. The registration fee will be returned in full should support not be awarded.
Past campership recipients wishing to return with tuition assistance in succeeding summers must submit registrations and campership applications by October 15 of the year preceding their return.
Campership applications from prospective new campers will be considered after November 1.
Applicants will be notified of the Committee’s award decision within 6 weeks of receipt of a complete campership application.
