Billing, Withdrawal & Refund Policy (Aloha, Aloha Hive, Lanakila)

Statements will be sent to the parents of the camper, at the home address, unless you notify us otherwise.

The registration fee is non-refundable. A finance charge of 1% per month, and any collection fees incurred, will be added to all late payments.

The Camps expect families to be responsible for the full tuition if withdrawal, for reasons other than illness, is made after March 1st. If the Camps succeed in filling the place, which is usually impossible in the late spring, parents will be relieved of this financial obligation. The sooner any change of plans is known, the more likely it is that a vacancy can be filled.

It is not possible to make any reduction for entering late or leaving early, except for withdrawal on account of illness incurred at Camp. In that case, one-half the fee for the remaining season will be refunded.

We reserve the right to dismiss any camper if, in our opinion, this action is in the best interest of the Camp. In this instance, no refund will be made.

Note:  if your child is on the waiting list and does not get a space at camp, the registration fee will be returned in full.

Financial Aid:
In past years, Horizons has offered a discount on camper tuition to any family residing in the Rivendell School District. Beginning in 2009, Horizons adopted a broader, more need-based financial aid program, offering “camperships” for up to the full cost of a Horizons session. Rivendell resident campers who benefitted from the discount in 2008 will continue to do so each consecutive summer they return to Horizons. Families of any residence who wish to be considered for “campership” assistance may request a campership application. The Foundation also will seek referrals for tuition aid candidates from youth and social service agencies in the Upper Valley.
