Enjoy a unique vacation this summer at the Hulbert Outdoor Center's annual Family Camp. Vermont's beautiful Lake Morey is the backdrop for this year's camp, Saturday, August 14 through Friday, August 20. Families find the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of camp a perfect way to create that quality family time, often missing in our busy lives.

Caring and talented staff members will offer activities for adults, children and the entire family together. Think of yourself hiking, canoeing, crafting from natural materials, listening to stories around the campfire, singing, sailing, swimming, or simply relaxing in the hammock with a good book. Accommodations for the week are in large platform tents and cabins at the Aloha Camp. Delicious, hearty and well-balanced meals are served family style in the charming and sunny dining hall.
 

This is a truly unique family vacation where adventures abound and friendships are made that will last a lifetime.

Fees:

Weekly Rates: $510 (adult); $400 (child) Daily Rates: $125 (adult); $100 (child)

No charge for children under 4 years old. For individual households of more than four persons, there will be a 50% discount on the above rates for each additional child.

Family Canoe Trip
Rangeley Lakes, Maine

Wake to the call of loons after a peaceful night's sleep at the edge of a beautiful, wild lake. Join the Hulbert Outdoor Center for a family canoe-camping adventure on the beautiful Rangeley Lakes of western Maine. Enjoy the natural world at a leisurely pace, while HOC's skilled trip leaders teach camping and canoeing skills for a safe and memorable canoe trip. You and your family will relax, make new friends, and spend that special time together -- an opportunity often lost in the hectic pace of everyday living.

This trip is fully outfitted and includes transportation, canoes, cooking gear, group equipment, instruction, delicious food and lots of fun, safe adventure. Hulbert Outdoor Center is a non-profit educational center which has been running wilderness trips for more than 35 years.

New Year's Vacation Family Camp

Enjoy a unique family holiday vacation this year. Spend a week in Vermont's winter wonderland at Hulbert Outdoor Center's 23rd annual New Year's Week Family Camp, Dec. 27, 2009 - Jan. 1, 2010.  Families and individuals of all ages will share special times as they explore the winter woodlands on snowshoes, learn about dogsledding, listen to stories by the fire, or spend a day skiing. Learn how to identify animal tracks, help cut ice on the lake with old-fashioned tools, or just relax with a good book by the fire.

There's something for everyone! Children will enjoy activities with their parents, as well as activities designed just for them. New Year's Eve will find all enjoying a unique celebration with a sleigh ride, music, family games and a delicious turkey dinner by candlelight.

Accommodations for the week will be in comfortable, attractive, warm cabins, each containing two to four bedrooms, and two full baths. Delicious, hearty meals will be enjoyed family-style in the Center's sunny dining hall. This is a truly one-of-a-kind family vacation where adventures abound and where friendships are made that last a lifetime.
